Automatic heavy-duty straightening and cutting machine for processing cold-rolled or hot-rolled smooth or ribbed steel wires paid off from spools or reels. Shears driven by an electric servo motor with rotating cutters, in combination with electronic length measurement, allow continuous straightening without stopping for cutting to obtain bars with ultimate length accuracy.

For lines with stationary shears, an extremely fast hydraulic cutting system in combination with hydraulic roller feed relief is used to perform the cut.
